      If you lot are a artist and dearest to help others detect their inner 'maker'. Flexible schedule, Employee discount, admissible policy.

      Sometimes there are customers who are unhappy or in a hurry. Some get upset, but we do what we can to assist them solve their unsettling issues.

      Employee Disbelieve, lunch. And when the twenty-four hour period ended.

      Backstabbing drama .. felt like I was back in high school. Micro managing upper direction had their store spies. Replen was horrible but worked with upper direction for a long fourth dimension so you but had to deal with information technology. No hours for crew or to take care of sales flooring or register surface area. Lack of teamwork in shop and district. Customers were horribly rude and nasty worst I have ever worked with. Lost many employees that could no longer accept the job expectations, customer beliefs and upper direction. New owners are messing upward the store, stock and merchandising. They are really bad as the visitor went private and they take no idea what they are doing. Unreal expectations of what can exist accomplished daily. Did not even want to go into the store when I arrived in the parking lot- simply wanted to go dorsum habitation. That should tell you all yous demand to know. Stay far away.

      There is a 30% employee discount which I plant useful (learning how & when apply sales/ coupons was too helpful). My store was staffed by generally other artists or temporary college and high schoolhouse students, it was a relatively low-stress atmosphere to make extra money and save on supplies while going through art school.

      It'southward a corporate retail job, and with the wrong direction team that could exist terrible. I got lucky! It could have gone differently & frequently does.

      Paycheck says 40 hours a week for salaried mgrs, requires to be scheduled 45 in their organisation just to do the job lx+. Comapny tin can not obtain plenty product to stock shelves and stores given no payroll to constantly have to flex behemothic holes in presentations. Dm doesn't visit stores, talks well-nigh other managers and plays favorites. Uses Discord (unapproved company tool) to discuss proprietary visitor information so yous have zero days off. He will simply communicate with SMs. Turnover is high at all levels, including store manager. Every visitor talks about cadre values, so if you truly value your piece of work culture, I would highly NOT recommend working for this company.

      Fast pace job New challenges daily. The Opportunity to be creative. Good employee disbelieve. Reasonable schedule flexibility

      Very physically active. Not much growth opportunity. Pay is much to be desired. Takes the customers well-being over the employee'due south well being. High turnover charge per unit. Budget cutting for hours in different departments. A ridiculous amount of layout changes that are to be made in an unrealistic in amount of time.

      at my store at least, the managers are friendly and understanding that you may have a life outside work. managers (again at my store at least) are willing to train you in other departments' practices and requite you more hours if you request it/actually need money. the employee disbelieve of 30% is nice as well since i do crafts and purchase things from the store afterward work. (besides iii/5 stars to me means "ok"/"boilerplate" so brand what you will of that.)

      not a competitive pay when a fast food identify across the street has begun paying $15/an hour since the pandemic started and we're still at $11/an hour.

      Very corporate, so they don't really care nearly their employees. I started off as a sale associate, then I worked as a framer, then a frame store manger. I was constantly denied fourth dimension off by my director because framing would run sales. She would always merits they needed me there for the sales... well if you know Michaels they ALWAYS run sales on the custom frames. There were years my PTO would only disappear since I would become denied time off, I was young and didn't know whatsoever better. It was a super toxic work environment and the pay is minimum wage. I was also told I maxed out at $12.00, so I quit and found a better task. Information technology's sad considering I loved framing artwork, but was not worth all the cons. For context I worked there 8 years.
